Fruit Popsicles

With Memorial Day Weekend upon us, get ready to battle the heat with these healthy fruit popsicles! Most store-bought popsicles are full of sugar or artificial sweeteners. Both may be equally harmful to a growing child's healthy immune system. Why not harness the sweet nectar in nature for a tasty treat that is sure to please? These homemade fruit popsicles are full of vitamins and will cool you off during those warm summer activities.

Get a water infuser! I was lucky enough to have one built into my Samsung refrigerator. But you can buy them online as well! Frozen fruit works best. As it melts, it fills the water with sweet, sweet nectar of the fruit. Blueberries work well, as do strawberries, or any berries for that matter.

Fill the diffuser with high quality filtered water. Try to avoid tap water at all costs! Listen to my podcast episode "All About Water" to find out the harms of tap water. And find out what the best water is you should be drinking for you and your family.

Place your fruit of choice in the center. Let the diffuser sit in the fridge for about 10-12 hours, or overnight is best.

Get a popsicle set and make sure it has a stand to hold them in place while they are freezing.

Place fresh fruit in each popsicle holder then pour your diffused water on top. Insert handles firmly and you can place the whole set in the freezer. It takes about 4 hours to freeze completely into your yummy fruit popsicles. Enjoy!

No sugar, all natural, and so delicious. If you want to get fancy you can do red, white, and blue for Memorial Day Weekend or 4th of July. Try strawberries, blueberries, coconut chunks, be creative!

Fruit popsicles are a fun thing to make with the kids. Let them choose the fruit, have fun putting it into the diffuser, and teach them how to fill it up with water.

You can even try yogurt or coconut milk as the base and fill with fruit like the picture below. There are really no limits to what you can make. Use your imagination! Fruit popsicles are fun for the whole family!
